The most beautiful place in the world ..
And no wonder, it combines natural beauty, alpine mountains, like the lake (which is frozen in winter) and an architecture envidiable. Its all a pure sample of Alpine culture.
Hallstatt, Upper Austria is a village in the mountainous district of Salzkammergut in Austria. It is located near Lake Hallstätter See.
Etymologically, the name Hall probably comes from the Celtic to be called to salt, abundant in nearby mines.
The town gives its name to the culture of so-called Iron Age Hallstatt Culture
In 1997 it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
And although there will be people who might not consider it well and will believe that it is creditor of the title, but something we can not deny, that is beautiful, is beautiful.
